In Kids Ministry, we don’t just hand out tasks—we build a safe runway where emerging leaders can practice, wobble, learn, and launch.
Scripture backs this growth path: “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again” (Proverbs 24:16, NLT). That’s grace in motion.
And our job as leaders? “Equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church” (Ephesians 4:12, NLT). Equipping includes feedback, second chances, and shoulder-to-shoulder encouragement.
Send an email to mystory@timewithlynn.com with "Serve" in the subject line and I'll send the KidMin Serve Day info your way! It is full of ideas for ways to recruit new volunteers into your ministry!
This week:
Give a real role, not busywork.
Offer a clear win and a simple next step.
Normalize mistakes and debrief with kindness.
Schedule the redo—don’t leave them on the bench.
Leaders aren’t formed by perfection; they’re formed by practice.
